Travel To London from Canada
Updated: 19 hours ago
Today's adventure is sending us to London, England (and yes, let's specify because the province of Ontario in Canada thought it would be funny to name a bunch of their cities after European cities like London, Ontario). London England is often the cheapest city to fly to from Canada due to direct flights offered by Air Canada and WestJet. This makes it a perfect hub for jumping on planes or trains to other places for cheaper than a direct flight from Canada.
If you have a little more time, do an extended stop over in London to take in the British classics like Big Ben, Piccadilly Circus and Tower Bridge or hop on a double decker bus and wonder the streets stopping in cute cafes and enjoying the cuisine.

The last time I personally visited London, was in 2012, so seeing it 10 years later in 2022 gave me a whole new perspective. Previously I had traveled for work and honestly was a little uninterested in seeing some of the sights (yes, even I rolled my eyes at that statement), but one experience I did get to have was to see the Queen's Jubilee on the Thames River. People were lined up all along the river to catch a quick glimpse of HRH Queen Elizabeth II, RIP, as she and the royal family floated down the river waving to the crowds in celebration. A friend of mine had an apartment over the River near the Tower Bridge, so we had almost a birds eye view with no crowds in front of us and a great monument in the background. In 2012, social media was just beginning and video recording on the phones was quite basic, so it wasn't as common to take videos of literally everything

you were doing and quality was very poor... what I'm saying is I have no proof I was there, you'll just have to take my word for it!
With the introduction of more advanced technologies, London has changed. One thing that hasn't changed is taking a ride on the double decker buses! To hop on, you no longer have to buy a transit card, you can just tap your credit card to get on and off the bus and underground, how cool is that?! Though you can't really see London in a day, it is definitely worth it to make a quick stop over and use the London transit to get around.
Places to visit during the day:
Wander the vast Hyde Park area
Enjoy city views from The London Eye observation wheel
Westminster Abby (if you'd like to go inside)
See Big Ben (no, this is not a person, but a clock tower!)
Float down the Thames River by calling an Uber Boat
Stroll through the jewels of Buckingham Palace
Places to check out at night:
Enjoy street performances at Covent Garden
Walk across London Tower Bridge and see the water reflections
Feel like you are in Times Square in New York City by visiting Piccadilly Circus
Get views of the city from The Shard (seriously who names a building this?)
No matter what you get up to in London, there is always more to see! So jump in a cab or hop on the transit and wonder the beautiful streets of London Town!
Happy Adventuring!
